Shaun T’s Insanity Calendar gives you a year’s worth of results in just 60 days! For that reason, this workout schedule should only be attempted by advanced exercisers.
If you’re wondering if you really can burn 500+ calories in a 40 minute workout, you haven’t hit play on this program yet!
Each month of the Insanity Calendar will challenge you mentally and physically. You should expect to workout 6x a week. In between month 1 and 2, you’ll have a recovery week. This is a week for your body to recover and be ready to push harder in the 2nd month.
You’ll still see results happening during that recovery week, and the recover workouts are still a challenge.
If you go through the 60-day program and follow the meal plan, you’ll results though!
Month 1 focuses on HIIT training, and the workouts are 35-40 minutes long.
While you may be tempted to skip Insanity’s recovery week – it can actually stunt your results to do so.
This is because your body starts to adapt to the workouts after a couple of weeks. This causes your results to plateau or even decline.
One way to stop this decline, is to mix in different moves.
The recovery week mixes in core and strength to challenge your body and also keeps it from an overtrained state.
The second month just goes up a notch. The workouts are similar to month 1, but they are longer at approximately 60 minutes each day.
We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it later!
You’ll do the Insanity Fit Test 2-3 a month to first see if you can handle the Insanity workouts and then measure your progress.
You should treat your Fit Test just like you would tracking your weight on a scale or measuring your inches lost. It’s a true test to see how you’re physically improving through the program.
We highly recommend following the 2B Mindset or the Ultimate Portion Fix with Insanity to get max results!
Check out our Transform 20 review! It’s is Shaun T’s newest workout and has been described as Insanity on a step! Plus, the 6-week program is just 20 minutes a day!
You can also mix LIIFT4 and Transform 20 for more of a strength-based program!
Absolutely! Here are some of our favorite Insanity calendars that mix it and another program together:
Beachbody, and Shaun T in particular, have shorter workouts that are still extreme.
I completed and really loved Insanity Max 30. It’s very similar to Insanity, but it’s 30 minutes a day. There is also a modifier where there isn’t one in the original program. You workout 5 times a week, but one day is a double workout. I typically did 1 workout per day 6x a week instead.
Shaun T has called this program Insanity on a step! There is a modifier showing a low impact version of each move, and this program is still insane! The moves are very similar to what you see in Insanity, but they also add in that step to have you sweating head-to-toe in just 20 minutes. You may also want to prepare yourself – this could be Shaun’s latest and last program ever. So you better try it!
The last option is T25 if you want to stick with Shaun T. I list it last because I know it works. Anna’s picture above is just 4 weeks in! – see all the results here! I just personally found the workouts kind of boring. Like Insanity Max 30, you’ll workout 5x a week, but one day is 2 workouts. So you could do doubles or workout 6x instead. Each workout is 25 minutes.
Beachbody on Demand allows you to stream from your phone, tablet or TV. You have access to over 700 different workouts, and you’ll be able to download any of the nutrition plans as well.
Following the Insanity Calendar shows us you’re driven and passionate about your health. Have you ever thought about sharing that passion with others?
We absolutely love being Beachbody Coaches, and we’ve been able to accomplish so much physically and financially because of it! It’s easy to get started, and you decide how much time you put into it!
We’ve also had the really cool privilege to workout live and meet Shaun T! Neither would have happened before we signed up to coach! Should You Be a Beachbody Coach?
